A little boy stood crouched down at the foot of a small bed, determination shining in his big electric blue eyes. He held his sword with one hand, close to his chest ready to launch an attack at a moment’s notice. In his other hand he was holding something that was more than terrifying in the right hands. He looked off to the side where the rest of his arsenal lay, the young boy nodded to himself he was ready for war. And as he watched the doorknob turn he realised he had only just managed to get ready in time. A boy with unnatural beauty and grace entered the room. His steps silent and fluid making him appear to be walking on air. He scanned the room with his intelligent eyes looking for any sign of the child. Not spotting the boy the newcomer made his way to the adjoining bathroom. It was then that the little boy launched. Aiming at the older boy`s face he pushed down on the small canister that he had been hiding in his left hand. He watched in sick fascination as the contents made their way into the unwelcomed guest’s eyes. He then proceeded to attack with the sword catching the thief unawares. â€Å"What the hell are you doing? You tell yourself you have nothing better to do and had no plans that night, so how bad could it really be? Within 30 minutes you are already matching others, some of which you considered to be out of your league, but you take it as a compliment and message a few people. Things lead to another and you go on a date after talking to a guy for a week. Yes, a week. Online dating has increased in popularity over the past decade and some would argue this is the new and improved way to find your Prince Charming, while others feel there are too many barriers are risks involved in the process, such as the false presentations of a profile, in addition to how seemingly ready people are to hookup with anyone. Dating on the internet (or off an app) may seem to lessen the number of romantic relationships, but the heavily technological society that we live in has made interactions between unknown individuals nearby and the unique goals we have with them easier to present.
